Bo Tengnäs, Director

Bo Tengnäs is a senior advisor and the director of Naturbruk. His international career started about 40 years ago with an assignment in rural Nepal. From 1986–1992 he lived and worked in Kenya, first for two years employed by an NGO as a project leader in rural western Kenya and the subsequent four years he was a Sida regional advisor on natural resources for eastern and parts of southern Africa based at the Swedish Embassy, Nairobi. Bo has worked as an independent consultant for the last 30 years, hired by international research organisations, donors, ministries, NGOs, and private companies. Bo holds an M.Sc. in forestry (Royal College of Forestry) and has additional academic qualifications in Business Administration (Uppsala University), Environmental Management (Stockholm University) and Development Studies (Stockholm University). Bo has extensive experience and profound knowledge of project and programme evaluations. He has been involved in over 40 evaluation and appraisal missions, mostly as a team leader and also managed complex tasks involving large teams and multi-donor evaluations.

Anna Tengnäs, Sustainability consultant

Anna Tengnäs has about twelve years of experience from international development, humanitarian assistance and sustainability, with a focus on environment, water, climate, energy and natural resources. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and Master of Science in Management and Engineering of the Environment and Energy from a consortium of universities that include KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Anna has work experience from local to international levels, in Sweden and in Africa as well as from government, knowledge and policy organisations and private sector. Throughout her work, multi-stakeholder processes have been integral parts, as well as integration of gender, poverty, rights, and conflict perspectives. Anna has carried out several evaluations, analysis and other assignments within Naturbruk since 2010. Anna has lived and worked in The United States of America, Mali, Burkina Faso, Kenya and France. She speaks Swedish, English and French fluently and has basic Spanish reading skills.
